Review of Kingdom Come (2014) by Mrs. Drake Kinzi Loyd — 11 Jan 2009

Based on their play "Dearly Departed", the writers adapt the stage piece for screen fairly successfully. If one is familiar at all with the aforementioned, then they'll easily pick out specific scenes (as they are practically verbatim).

The cast is funny overall, however I feel the script would have benefitted from tighter editing. While the film is very much a faithful translation, somehow it lacks in that it is just that. The screen version is deserving of more than the play script provides; and so does it's cast.
