Review of King Richard (2021) by Dawdlingpoet — 03 Jul 2022
This is a good sports biopic film and family based drama. It's a real underdog tale - something I know is typically well liked/received in the US. Of course the fact its based on a true story makes it all the more compelling.
The titular character is someone who is quite frustrating and hard to like in some respects, certainly. It's a miracle the Williams sisters put up with him and his stubborn ways, if you ask me. It's interesting to watch from a race perspective as well.
I'm not really knowledgeable or keen on tennis as a sport as such but I appreciate a good film like this from the drama point of view. Yes, I'd recommend this film.
