Review of King of New York (1990) by Daibhid J — 05 Jul 2007
Christopher Walken at his lizardine best, Larry Fishburne as the perfect evil henchman, David Caruso before he became a joke and a cool young Wesley Snipes is enough to whip right past a ludicrous plot that tries to recast Walken's vicious drug lord as Robin Hood.
A couple of great set piece gun fights don't hurt either, although I keep wondering if Walken's going to run New York shouln't he have a bigger gang? And how did this notably white guy manage to lead a largely black gang of fiercely loyal killers? Becuase he's Christopher Walken of course.
BTW in the scene where the Chinese drug lord is watching Nosferatu the reels are clearly out of order.
