"It's good that you don't know some things".............................................A simple tale about a father and Daughter reconnecting, in a less than simple way.I dig Douglas in these tyes of movies.
A little kooky, less thrillery and just having fun with being a character. He's got the aloof disfunctional dad down to a T here, He's funny, he's annoying, he's out there and all the set ups hit a fantastic pay off.
Evan Rachel wood is even beginning to grow on me. Over the last year or so i've really begun to like her in movies. She kinda brings a real natural normality to a role and while that's not what I always want out of a movie, she does it very well and her last few performances have all been pretty great.
Gret feel good fun, with a great soundtrack, all adds up to a fantastic sunday afternoon watch and i'm glad this lived up to the poster. I mean look at his smiling face...who doesn't want to see this movie after seeing that bright yellow awesomness of a poster.
