Review of King of California (2007) by Christopher S — 15 Dec 2009

While the critics seemed to mainly write positive reviews about this movie, I just didnt think the movie was that good. Frankly I was disappointed. Michael Douglas played his part well but the movie dragged and didnt seem to achieve anything worthwhile, rather it emphasised how unsupported people with mental illness and the peopel who try to support them are.

The end of the movie was very depressing and I felt sorry for his daughter such a young girl who had shouldered a huge burden and was left to fend for herself. The writers could have included at least someone who would be there for her.
