Review of King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962) by The Critic ( — 30 May 2012
Even though it's the battle we've always wanted to see, this doesn't compare to the original 'King Kong' (1933) and is below the standard of some of Godzilla's other movies. There's nothing original here and many will struggle to see the film through to the final showdown, which turns out to be both comedic and the highlight of the piece... and even that's not saying much.
It was followed by 'King Kong Escapes' (1967).
