I'm usually easy on vs movies because it's just meant to be entertainment but this movie is terrible the title characters only fight once and all logic is thrown out the window king Kong when is lifted through the air with balloons.

King Kong was killed with bullets in the 1933 version and Godzilla can only be killed with the radiation within him or with an oxygen destroyer but the writers in the flick decide to ignore that and make king Kong the stronger deadlier monster and Godzilla's height 167 ft while king Kong is around 20-25 ft so they decided to cut down Godzilla's height so they can fight.

What is Godzilla firing from his mouth? I think it's a laser beam why did they change him exhaling atomic breath to shooting a laser beam from his mouth? (which he rarely uses btw).

Both costumes on the monsters look awful When you see the close ups on King Kong or Godzilla you'll know what I mean they just didn't try. The production crew say it's a comedy which is meant to justify everything I said but I didn't laugh once throughout the entire movie it isn't very cheesy until Kong is lifted on balloons.

The story line makes as much sense as the movie (little to none) a dying business decides to steal King Kong from Skull Island for some popularity meanwhile eight years after Godzilla was buried in ice he escapes and starts destroying everything in his path.

Sounds kinda cool but it's anything but that the writings lazy and uninspired there is a scene where a boat is taking King Kong to shore and a couple of military officers say they can't bring Kong back but someone says they want to bring Kong back so the officers decide to let them there was no bribing or anything and a scene where the military decide to stop Godzilla by burying it because it's not like Godzilla just escaped from being buried.

The climactic fight between the monsters is dull and lifeless since when did King Kong get power from lightning (i'm aware Frankenstein was going to be in the film) but could they have changed that like Kong imagined Ann and that gives him the strength to keep fighting I know that's not great but it's just off the top of my head.

Overall the movies bland and uninspired i'd like to consider this a guilty pleasure since i'm a huge fan of both monsters but I don't think i'll ever watch this again. 2/5.
