Review of King Kong Lives (1986) by Jason D — 02 May 2008
Making a sequel to the awful 1976 King Kong remake was probably the worst idea in the history of filmmaking. No, a boob shot of Linda Hamilton is not going to make this awfulness go away. This film has aged terribly and quicker than the damn first part, and both of them together have aged worse than the damn original.
There are so many elements to this film that make it utterly ridiculous and practically unbearable to watch. Heart Transplants, Kong Hunting Parties, Gorilla Control Unit, Kong Birth Cycles; it's just too much.
