Review of King Kong Escapes (1967) by Gavin S — 08 Jun 2007

This was based on a cartoon series and it shows. Thankfully it shows by trying to be more extravagant and cool than it can possibly be. The King Kong suit is the worst ever--the zipper and headpiece are obvious in multiple scenes--but that's completely forgiveable given the appearance of Gorosaurus and Mechani-Kong.

This is certainly light years better than the 1970s remake of King Kong.
