Review of King Kong (2012) by Roland S — 25 Dec 2013

I don't really care if the special effects are ridiculously over the top. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Of course, I didn't quite appreciate Peter Jackson's attempts to over-sentimentalize the film and given its epic length, I would have preferred it if he cut out some of the more pointless character development scenes (pointless in that they developed characters that had nothing to do with the over all story.

.. I.E. Jimmy & Hayes) and left in the extra dinosaur scenes from the extended edition. It is, after all, the entertainment value of the film which makes me love it so much.
