Review of King Kong (2012) by Zachary M — 12 Apr 2016
Remakes are a funny thing. You have the hardships of making a movie in of itself, but you have to "live up to" the original in the minds of most fans of the original.
Yet this movie, like a lot Peter Jackson's movies, it doesn't have to worry. This feels like a modern day epic. Some will say the length is too much. However, I still maintain that most of the extensions feel necessary to show and flush out character bits. I have no problem with that. Except the ice skating, scene. That might be a bit to much.
