Review of King Kong (2005) by Jamesirish68 — 09 Dec 2018
A marvelous movie. Three hours flew in this loyal remake . Naomi Watts is the pivot and is perfect. Jackson is a master and it shows in spades.
Even though how the story unfolds is so well known its a cultural trope the sadness of the ending really struck a chord and stayed with me for days.
Real emotional identification with Ann Darrow and Kong. So much better than the bloodless Marvel/DC commerciality we have the last few years.
