Review of King Kong (1933) by Dave C — 23 Nov 2008
'King Kong' never fails to instill surprising emotional expressions in our favorite giant gorilla. Kong has character and depth, something that is often void of today's CGI monster creatures.
The film takes us on a journey, from a prehistoric island where exotic beasts roam wild, to the skyscraper landscape of New York City. From fearing Kong's awesome size and power to finally sympathizing with and feeling compassion for the beast.
It's a fast paced and breathless experience, and it's by no mistake that 'King Kong' remains a great exercise in horror and thrilling excitement.
