Review of King Kong (1933) by Richard P — 05 Jun 2009
From the ethereal streets of 1930s New York amidst the shattering Great Depression, to a very real looking tramp steamer, the S.S VENTURE, to the wondrous, spectacular, horrifying and thrilling jungles of Skull Island - the Lost World and home of King Kong, the greatest beast to ever walk the earth. This film is most definitely the ultimate film experience of the 20th Century, and in my opinion, the 21st.
Packed with pathos, melodrama, touching romance, unforgettable characters, thrills, spills, fights and frights - this immortal motion picture presentation of both the grandiose and the horrible will rock the human race for eternity as a message to man of our endearing qualities of exploration and pushing the bounds of the impossible.
