This movie is great for many reasons. I think the best reasons is the special effects, all you have to watch is the "The Making of Kong, Eighth Wonder of the World" feature on the 2 disc special edition, to see how impressive the making of this film is, and how impressive is today.
The image of Kong on the Empire State Building will be forever locked in the mind of ANYBODY that has seen this movie.
