Review of King Kong (1933) by Tynan Y — 07 Nov 2012
To many viewers, King Kong is silly. People just don't understand what "King Kong" did for Hollywood, the cheesy (to today's standards) special effects were the best you'd see in the 30's and the ability to craft what the crew did with them was nothing short of breathtaking.
We have to learn to appreciate what started all that we see today, and this film is a celebration to the beginnings of everything we see on the big screen. Watch this film, understand this film and take in the first steps of a special effects Hollywood.
