An ageless film that defined and era of special effects and revolutionized film-making in almost every aspect! The true father of monster movies, KING KONG is still the KING! Even so this film is almost 80 years old and has been copied lots of times, and almost everybody knows the story even if they haven't really seen the actual film, KING KONG still works! The greatest film to stand the test of time! The stop-motion animation is still incredible and by today standards it is more charming! (almost cute).
It would be cynical to compare this KING KONG to the remake or any re-imagining of the story that had been made. As a film-lover we all must respect and understand the huge benchmark and power that this film caused to our Pop-culture society, and that still lives with all it's glory! It gives strong metaphors that critics have idealized being too erotic or racist, and that's another beauty of this beast Masterpiece.
This is the Greatest Hollywood film ever, period.
