Review of King Kong (1933) by Yifan C — 24 Oct 2013
Even to this day, King Kong still mystifies with it's 30's era stop-motion technical achievement on creating the giant 50-foot ape monster, plus it has a great adventure on how a promising documentary turns crazy when the ape goes from seemingly outright hostile king (as a local tribe calls it) to forming an unusual over-protective bond with a young woman.
The climax where the ape fights a couple WW1 fighter planes on top of the Empire State Building is iconic!
