Review of King Cobra (2016) by Carlos M — 24 Apr 2017
Rarely does one performance elevate a piece the way Christian Slater does here. As interesting as the story is, parts are spotty and the technical execution never rises above perfectly adequate; unusually for a Hollywood film, the guy playing Harlow Cuadra is notably less attractive than his real life counterpart.
But, as much as you would never have expected to say this during the 90s, Slater still manages to carry the whole thing on his shoulders. The second smartest thing the filmmakers did after employing him was wrapping up proceedings very shortly after his character?s exit.
