Review of King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017) by Jeffrey Y — 21 May 2017

Awesome. Great modernization of classic tale. Acting was good. CGI wasn't used too much. Plot was week thought out. I also liked that it didn't rehash lore history too much and mainly focused on what was presently happening and relevant with a quick flashback here and there when need to explain something quickly and get back to the present sorry.

If you don't feel the was enough back story setting up characters, there is. Honestly if you know anything about Arthurian Legend you really don't need much back story. They put just enough in the movie so you know the base of the modern updates to the characters.

That's all you really need to get a feel for the characters. Either way, even fit people that know nothing of Arthurian Legend, there's more than enough info in the movie for you to know who's who and what's going on IMO.
