Review of King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017) by Qacritic — 11 May 2017
The story is not very good and predictable you know what is going to happen in the end but the journey is not worth it. the characters are typical fantasy cliches and none of the are likeable. The fact that they made the sword bigger star than the guy wielding it diminished the man wielding it. The motives are relatively simple mostly being greed and power. The female characters are just background noise and not very interesting. The story telling is fairly bad with a lot of cliches and easy solutions by magic. The editing is probably the worst part and the rhythm of the movie is constantly broken by pointless scenes and unnecessary shots.
No mater what shaky-cam sucks no matter the reason for it.
The acting is OK for the most part. Visuals and settings I liked but they are not enough.
Ultimately thus movie is typical of movie makers now they trade on an established brand but fail to deliver.
The trailer was a lot better and fooled me but this movie should be watched on cable if ever.
