Review of King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017) by Von C — 14 May 2017
OK- I have to admit that I went into this with low expectations. I mean, my mom picked it because she thought there would be (in her words) "hot men" to look at. I am pleased to say that I LOVED IT! Guy Ritchie spun this tale and he spun well.
First- it was beautiful and gritty and yeah, ok, Charlie Hunnan is pretty to look at but the story captivates you at the very beginning. Eric Bana is a total bad*** and who doesn't love it when Jude Law plays the villain? Yes, it was flashy and begs for a deeper understanding of what's going on sometimes but that's Guy Ritchie, right? He has you looking left when the prize is moving to the right! This is not King Arthur but his son- King Arthur.
We don't have an obvious love interest. We do have an all-star cast and some feels about the characters. The soundtrack was great! I don't care what other critics say- I will recommend this to anyone.
