Review of King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017) by Sophia B — 16 May 2017
The latest film by Guy Ritchie might be one of my personal favorites that he has made so far. It's certainly stylistic and maybe not as high on the story as it should be, but I'd be lying if I didn't find this incredibly entertaining.
Before viewing this film, I watched a review on YouTube stating that the film probably should and could have been longer. I agree totally with this, there seemed to be some areas that were mostly montaged through and covered much quicker than I would have preferred.
Despite this, I still loved the performances, especially Charlie Hunnam. The action scenes are spectacular, although there is some CGI issues I have with the last battle. I am disappointed to see this film getting such bad reviews and flopping at theaters, because I hope to see a directors cut of this film that is maybe 3 hours, even though it'd be long, I really think it would improve an already very solid film.
