Review of King Arthur (2004) by Robert G — 24 Feb 2010
I was kinda excited about this one. I am a big fan of both Clive Owen and Keira Knightley, I think they are both great actors. And Antioine Fuqua's Training Day is one of my favorite movies. So needless to say I was maybe expecting a little to much from this one.
I was a little let down though, it was a little long and the story was very redundant. The battle scenes are the same thing over and over and some of them run quite long. Besides the interactions between the different characters, which was quite interesting.
there is not much to this story. Even though I like Owen and Knightley I will be the first to tell you that their performances were not that great in this one. I was more impressed by the supporting actors like Ray Stevenson and Hugh Dancy.
The standout performance would have to go to Ioan Gruffudd for his portrayal of Lancelot. Overall I was let down by this movie but I thing it was just an average movie and I was hold it to a higher standard.
