Review of King Arthur (2004) by William M — 08 Apr 2009
What a novel idea, but so dumbly portrayed. I kept asking myself why, in the battle scenes, everyone rushed into combat instead of standing back, shooting arrows, and, uh... winning. It's supposed to be a "realistic" take on Arthurian myth, but in the end is probably just as silly and fake as any other fictional representation.
And it's a generic action movie with bland, archetypical characters to boot. At least it's marginally good looking, when it's not muddy and grimy as heck.
