Review of King Arthur (2004) by Niall M — 12 Apr 2009
Takes a classic legend, some historical reconstruction and some good ideas and makes them... well, a bit shit, really. Suddenly it becomes generic twaddle where barbarian warrior maidens shave their legs and still need rescued by their heroic knight and Ray Winstone shouts a lot.
And for a film that claims to be 'realistic'... the picts had siege engines, that's all i'm saying for now.
