Ah, stuff it. I really liked this. Romans, Saxons, Britons, history, myth, melodrama, stunning cinematography, epic sweep, overblown dialogue, plot holes you could drive a chariot through and a plot you could scribble on a Rizla.
Perfect big daft medieval style cinema. I don't get why it gets so slaughtered when it is perfectly competently made, engaging and damn entertaining.
