Review of King Arthur (2004) by 3568 C — 17 Aug 2012
7/11/04 - King Arthur was an interesting historical take on the Arthurian legends. It was much more real and gritty than the usual fairy-tale versions. The acting was good, especially in depicting the camaraderie of the knights.
I also liked the battle sequences (the DVD may have the R-rated version with a lot more battle nastiness). The plotting seemed a little hurried and uneven at times, and some of the freedom bits were a bit like reheated Braveheart especially the speech before the big battle.
But, overall, I enjoyed this.
