Review of Kindergarten Cop (1990) by Colin A — 29 Aug 2009
Good movie. I know its really corny, but I still find it funny. Schwarzenegger does well as a griddy cop taking on the most ungriddest of professions (ok, its griddy in someways). I liked his partner, she was very amusing (Penelope Reed played her, I think).
The bad guys are a little weird, like they were based off of the mother and son from "The Mancurian Canidate". They could have used a little more character development, but they were ok, and this was not exactly suppose to be a deep movie anyway.
My favorite parts are when has a nervous break down trying to control the kids. I also liked the part where he is singing while wearing a hat and playing a ukulale. I might have seen a clip of it on "The Daily Show" or something, but for some reason, every time I see it I think ".
..and then he became governor of California". Well, since that job seems like it will be ending on a low note and he's a little old to be an action star anymore (yes, Harrison Ford and Slyvester Stallone are still at it, but there is a point where you can only suspend reality so far), Arnold might want to consider going back to comedy.
He can usually make you laugh, on purpose or unintentionally. Anyway, I recommend this movie.
