"My dad's a gynecologist. He looks at vaginas all day long." I was not surprised at how good this movie was. Probably cuz a lot of my friends in college liked to quote itâ¦all the time.

It should be known that Ivan Reitman is kind of a big deal *cough* Ghostbusters! *end cough* Actually, so is his son, Jason. Hmm, guess awesomeness runs in the family (Jason plays one of the kids!). A couple of things did surprise me though, in good ways.

The 1st: Arnold even taking this role. Here we have a body builder turned action star, and we didn't know he could act outside of explosion extravaganzas. But fear not, for he can! And pretty well too.

However, this was the 2nd Ivan/Arnold matchup cuz they did Twins earlier. But I haven't seen that, so let's talk about this. Another neat fact: Bill Murray, Patrick Swayze, and Danny DeVito were also approached to play John Kimble.

The other thing that was shockingly cool is that the film is a melting pot of genres: action, comedy, suspense, policy procedural, and even romance. But it never crosses into the voids known as action-romance or rom-coms (I think I just threw up a little, merely from the thought of these genres).

Dunno why critics were hatin, it's decent entertainment. The movie is filled to the brim with smart jokes, and hardly any of them are corny one-liners. Gotta say, this was quite good. Not a home run, but at least an rbi triple haha.
