Review of Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949) by Mark L — 06 Dec 2007
Alec Guinness was amazing as he played the various ill-fated members of the D'Ascoyne family targeted for vengence by Dennis Price's wonderful Louis D'Ascoyne. Never has serial homicide been given such a light and genteel touch.
The writing, acting and '50s black and white cinematography all place this fine film squarely in the "must see" category.
