Review of Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949) by Andy K — 05 Feb 2008
An incredibly fun and dark British comedy. Killing Alec Guiness was never this enjoyable. Alec Guiness gives a clinic on acting and totally inhabits every idiosyncrasy and mannerism of each of the 8 characters he portrays.
Dennis Price is cool and collected as the courteous murderer avenging his mother's betrayal. Joan Greenwood is lovely as the petite and "perfect combination of imperfections". Classic British film and a throughly engaging experience.
