Review of Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949) by Mya G — 15 Jul 2009
A morbidly delightful black comedy, dripping with irony, murder and class warfare. Alec Guinness's chameleon performance as all eight of the unlucky victims is justifiably the film's most famous element, but praise must also be given to Joan Greenwood's off-kilter femme fatale, while Dennis Price's charmingly civilized serial killer is the glue that holds everything together.
