Review of Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949) by Manny C — 29 Oct 2009
My all-time favorite Alec Guinness role. We all know Guinness to be a master thespian, and as Obi-Wan Kenobi, but who knew he had such comedic chops? Guinness portrays a group of relatives who are ahead in line for a major family inheritance, and their cousin Louis D'Ascoyne hasn't the patience to wait.
So he kills them all one by one, and basically kills Guinness, who plays every single one, male and female. it's a comic tour de force.
