Review of Kim Possible Movie: So the Drama (2005) by Paul B — 19 Jun 2010
After watching The Disney Channel's first animated Disney Channel Original Movie, The Kim Possible Movie so the Drama back on April 8th, I just have to say that if Walt Disney was sitting next to me, he would be smiling about this movie.. and in fact even applauding it..
This 71 minute (actually 61 minutes on Television, because they took out 10 minutes of the film, due to budget constraints) Starts off with a 5 minute opening sequence that will definitely be called "The first E-Ticket" Ride of animation..(After all when you're traveling in a high speed jet, and you behind it holding on for dear life like the title character is doing) you know you have one heck of a white knuckle ride that makes the Matterhorn look tame.
Once you get past the openiing title, the story never slows down except for a couple of brief moments, and in the end you realize.. This IS the way Disney Animation should be made.. Not on the cheap, but with the rich storytelling that is Disney..
In the end after all is said and done, this movie really leaves you wondering.. is there more? Sadly Disney has a 65 episode limit and according to the folks at Disney this is it.. or is it? After all Some fans really want this series of stories about a teenage Cheerleader and her goofy sidekick to continue, while others do not. frankly I'll leave it up to the viewers to decide this one..
So in the end, the fans want more? They'll have to ask for it..
Nuff said..but this movie says it all.. She Can do anything and this movie keeps that promise and delivers.. in spades.
