Review of Killshot (2008) by Tim M — 13 Apr 2009
Once in a while a movie comes along and blows me away. No-hype Gordon-Levitt vehicles that impressed me were Brick and Stop Loss. The Lookout was hyped, but surpassed my expectations. GL is better than in all those here.
Surprisingly, I hadn't heard of this and only came across it when looking through new releases. Rourke as a Native American hitman is impeccable, I kept hearing him say "padre" from Sin City.
Lane and Jane's chemistry is great and Dawson's portrayal is legit. The directing and atmosphere are well done. The score leaves much to be desired and prevents the film from being perfect. Knoxville is in the trailer, but not the film.
