Review of Killshot (2008) by Jeff R — 09 May 2009
I have heard alot of things about this film, it had a negative test screenings, Johnny Knoxville was completely cut out of the film. I seem to recall in 2005 looking up this movie but apparently the weinstein brothers had a falling out with the studio Miramax and this film was sheveled for 4 long years. On to the movie, Mickey Rourke knows how to play the villian roles, But as for Joseph Gordon-Levitt he sports an elvis type accent and tries to pretend he's elvis that's what makes his character funny. Thomas Jane and Diane Lane were allright but they could have done better. Carmen Colson and her ironworker husband Wayne are being tracked down by Armand "Blackbird" Degas and Psychopath Richie Nix because Carmen saw Armand's face and the one rule Armand has is if anyone catches him killing someone he kills the person. They are placed in the witness protection program but that doesn't stop Armand and Richie. For my final word Killshot does not dissappoint but it could have been improved on.
3/5.
