Review of Killshot (2008) by Madiha H — 28 May 2009
Excellent neo-noir starring the singular and re-invented talent of Mickey Rourke as a hitman with a "code". There are some handsome touches in this film based on the novel by Elmore Leonard like the rotary telephone in Rourke's spartan room, his 1970's Cadillac and the blue-collar-characters brought to life by Diane Lane and Thomas Jane.
Elmore Leonar'd prose and often-eccentric characters always adapt well to the screen. And... anyone who truly appreciates working-class-beauty will find a generous bounty of that in Diane Lane.
