Review of Killshot (2008) by Scott M — 16 Jul 2009
I really wanted to enjoy Killshot after waiting for it to come out on DVD; however, I found myself getting bothered by certain aspects of the film. The first problem I have with it is the acting. You'd think with actors like Mickey Rourke, Thomas Jane, and Diane Lane , that the movie would be quite well acted.
This, however, is not the case. They try to put on what one can only think of as "Canadian/Native American" accents which just don't come across well on screen. I will say though that Joseph Gorden-Levitt still manages to bring his A game as he is probably the best part of the whole movie.
The next thing that I find slightly annoying is the fact that the FBI can somehow make their way to Canada just at the drop of a dime and somehow have jurisdiction on the Canadain Border. Anyway, with all of Killshots faults it does retain your attention and is worth atleast a rental.
