Review of Killshot (2008) by Candace S — 19 Dec 2009
"You gotta know what you're doing when you go in. You gotta have it figured out. Don't hang around. Don't get interested...".
Well I was interested briefly, but Killshot, directed by John Madden couldn't hold my interest. The plot was kind of hokey pokey. You sort of care about this couple Carmen & Wayne (Lane & Jane) who end up in the Witness Protection program, but you don't. You can predict pretty much everything that Blackbird's (Rourke) sidekick (Levitt) will do. Actually most of the film is predictable.
Diane Lane gave a good performance, but I was mostly impressed with Mickey Rourke. It gets 3 stars for him. He's got chops in this one for sure. It was just too bad that the screenplay sucked.
