Review of Killshot (2008) by Jamie D — 28 Mar 2010
It's a bit of a mess, and the pacing is not ideal (some parts stretched too long, some cut too short; probably due to the ridiculous post-production process on this film...) but everybody involved in the production, especially the actors, clearly put in so much effort that it makes you appreciate the film despite it's short comings.
You believe the characters, and the strong performances, especially Mickey Rourke and Joseph Gorden-Levitt really draw you in. In the end it's really about the relationships formed between the characters more than the violence or action.
I can see where John Madden was going with this adaptation; I only wish his true vision could've been brought more fully to the screen.
