Review of Killing Zoe (1993) by Breandán M — 25 Dec 2007
Eric Stoltz arrives in Paris the day before Bastille day, when he plans to help his childhood-friend-turned-sleazy-eurotrash-junky rob the French national bank. They get wasted the night before, for "tonight we live liiiiife!".
..and everyone is surprised with the heist goes horribly, horribly wrong. The bloodied bodies lying about get old real fast, and Anglade's character is almost unbelievable in his absurdly sinister sociopathy, but the movie keeps you watching from beginning to end.
If you like the cynical yet amusing Terrentinoesques that are popping up everywhere, you should rent it.
