Review of Killing Them Softly (2012) by Indiana J — 04 Nov 2014
Arguably the best film to capture the utter desolation of late 2008, Killing Them Softly manages to tell a solid crime story with wit, humor, and uncomfortable realism. Many films are too indecisive to commit to anything more than half-assed implications about contemporary politics & society, but not here: this is distilled cynicism at its finest.
And for that it earned my respect.
