Review of Killing Them Softly (2012) by Coleman M — 25 Nov 2014
So I get it, this whole thing is an allegory for the economy crashing in 2008. That was cool, but a lot of the movie's dialogue and characters felt like Mid-90s Tarantino-rip off scenes, where every character was super cool, and said super cool shit.
Which sounds awesome in theory, but it has been done so much by this point, by guys who really have their finger on what sounds super cool, it got old. Also, I have no idea who the main characters are.
Is it the Australian Crackhead and his partner? Is it Brad Pitt? Not really sure. Kind of awkward movie for me. Ok concept, Ok execution.
