(2012) Killing Them Softly.
CRIME DRAMA.
Based on a novel by George V. Higgins, who also co-scripted the screenplay along with the director of the movie by the name of Andrew Dominik starring Brad Pitt who was credited as co-producer. He plays a hit-man-for-hire, Jackie, hired to seek the bumbling idiots of Frankie(Scoot McNairy) and junkie Russell (Ben Mendelsohn) who hit on a high class card game of some notarized criminals. The simple-minded idea that's been done a hundred times before is used as a backdrop to many babbling conversations between it's characters with actual Obama election speeches laid out all through the movie. Has the makings of a Tarantino movie or a Tarantino copycat. It's another unique perspective with nothing much to show for it.
