Intriguing and fun until a character's chance to get away in the third act is tossed aside for an obvious call-back scene and unbelievably happy ending...Which I'm sure the writers or director felt would be an unexpected surprise for the audience, but instead is a massive groaner.
Next time, if you bash a sadistic killer's head with a rock, you finish the job. Okay?
