Review of Killing Season (2013) by Jed G — 01 Jan 2014

This is not a family movie, it's something you'd probably watch alone, and that's how it's been designed. All of us humans have capacity for both love and hatred, this movie is about how far hatred can get us. Some scenes are plainly disgusting, no doubt, but this is part of the message. It's deep and probably not for everyone to truly understand. If you expect action movie then look somewhere else. Action is part of it but not the gist of it - you can't produce a movie nowadays that's only talking. Both actors did excellent job playing however I agree with other reviewers that DeNiro gets an extra star. The movie does tend to make one side (Serbians) look worse than the other (Bosnians), which I agree is misrepresentation but they try to even it towards the end of the movie in a short dialog between the two characters.

I am sure about one thing: whether you like this movie or not - you will remember it.
