Review of Killing Gunther (2017) by Hayden W — 12 Oct 2017
While not the most enthralling film in the world, 'Killing Gunther' still provided loads of fun entertainment perfect for a night in with family or friends. Arnie is particularly amusing in this film, though the film's marketing definitely gives off the wrong idea as to how involved he is.
It seems to me that he was originally intended to serve as a sort of 'surprise reveal'. Still, his appearance is definitely worth the wait. He chews up every scene he appears in. Also, while it does seem derivative of more clever mockumentaries such as the oft-compared 'What We Do in the Shadows' it's a fun watch in it's own right, and, strangely enough considering the subject matter, the characters are interesting enough to keep your attention throughout.
Would recommend fershure.
