Review of Killing Bono (2011) by Jon A — 01 Apr 2011
Set in the 1980's while U2 were becoming the biggest band in the world this is really good, Ben Barnes is brilliant as the rock front man living in the constant shadow of old school friend Bono Vox and his little band U2.
Barnes reminded me a little of Bernard Black only slightly more insane. The actors playing U2 were well cast lookalikes but honourable mentions should go to Pete Postlethwaite in his last film, and Peter Serafinowicz as a slimy record company bozo.
I liked it but I think it'll be a cult hit DVD more than a box office blockbuster.
