Review of Killer's Kiss (1955) by Brad G — 23 Aug 2011
Relegated as a supplement on the latest Criterion release of the infinitely superior The Killing, Stanley Kubrick's Killer's Kiss is a decent boxing noir if not a flat out stunner. Suffering from too much flashback, too much narration/exposition, and some creaky sound design it's still fun to see the birth of Kubrick's directorial eye and that climactic axe fight among the mannequins is pretty darn cool.
